memo:ひとやものがどのようなものか伝えるためのもの。説明とか描写ってやつかな。何に関する描写／説明なのかは前置詞ofを使うんだね（aboutじゃないんだ）。explanationと何が違うんだろう？

the details or reasons that someone gives to make something clear or easy to understand
ex)Could you give me a quick explanation of how it works?

The judge didn't believe his explanation that he had stolen the money in order to give it to charity.
memo:何かを明らかにしたり、理解しやすいようにするための詳細や理由。これもdescriptionと同じく、ofを使うんだね。for whyと、理由の説明の際にはfor を使うのかな？explanationは原因や理由、方法などを文字、口頭で説明する感じ、descriptionはかなり詳細な説明でより慎重に考慮された場合が多く、書面になった説明ということらしい。例えば試合の解説は、試合を描写するのでdescriptionをつかって、explanation of the gameだとゲーム方法の説明になっちゃうみたい。

memo:めっちゃちょっとの時間続くこと、もしくはちょっとの言葉だけ含むこと。わずかな時間、もしくは簡潔なこと。例文1つ目は彼のスピーチは超簡潔だったねえって感じ。だらだらしゃべるんじゃなくて、すぱっと要点だけを述べた簡潔なスピーチ。二つ目は会議の前に資料をぱらっとみること。じっくり読むんじゃなくてざっと目を通す感じかな。have a brief lookでざっと目を通すってニュアンスなんだね。3つ目は滞在時間がめちゃくちゃ短い感じ。新幹線の電光掲示板に流れるやつとおなじニュアンス。We'll soon make a brief stopping at Okayama stationみたいなやつ。まもなく岡山駅に短時間停車します。=まもなく岡山です。って感じ。4つ目は少しだけ陸軍にいて、その後先生として働き始めたよって文なんだけど、ちょっとだけここで働いてたってときもbriefを使うみたい。5つ目はこの間学んだissueとの合わせ技。issueは発行するとか公的に声明をだすこと。簡潔なとりあえず取り急ぎの声明を出すときもbriefなんだね。

memo:他の人を休ませるために他の人に代わって何かをすること。休憩時間を与えるために交代すること。

memo:誰か、とくに重要人物を埋葬するための地下の部屋や大きな石の建造物。つまり、ただの墓ってより古墳とかかな。

memo:特定の仕事や活動をするために限られた時間過ごすこと。ずっとってよりは、期間が定められててその間なにか仕事に従事する感じかな。契約社員的な。割り当ての仕事とか。さっきの陸軍に少しいて～って例文でも軍のことが書かれてるし、今回の1つ目の例文でも軍関係だし、よく使うのかな？徴兵って期間があるし、その関係なのか。

memo:法的なルールによってやらなければならない状態。義務だね。dutyという単語もあるけど何が違うんだろう。mandatoryという単語もあるみたい。って、mandatoryはルールや法律などで強制される場合、compulsoryはあなたのためになるから強制される場合…ええ、a rule of lowって書いてるやん…どっちが正解なの～～～

memo:平均よりいいけどめっちゃいいってわけじゃない。ちょっといい感じ。微妙だなあwwまあまあ、とかまずまずとかかな。でもmikanでは「かなり」って意味で出てきたんだよなあ…うーんと思ってたらイギリスではused to emphasize figurative expressions that describe what people or objects are doingという意味でも使うみたい。つまり、人や物がしていることをめっちゃ強調するとき使うらしい。これが、かなり…になるのか？

memo:毎週、労働者、特に身体的なスキルを使った労働（肉体労働）をする人に支払われるお金。土木作業員さんがもらう賃金のイメージかな？それに労働時間に対する賃金って感じ。働いた時間でもらえるアルバイトの給料はwagesらしい。それに対してsalaryはサラリーマンがもらう給料のイメージ？
