memo:会うではない方の意味。条件などを満たす感じかな。条件、要求を満たすときにmeet。satisfyやfulfilも満たすだけれど何が違うのかしら

memo:satisfyは人にものをあげたり、何か施したりして人を満足させる「満たす」のようす。好奇心を満たすのように、人の感情を満たす感じ

memo:fulfilも要求を満たすという点ではmeetと同じ?fulfilはなにか期待されていることとか望まれていることがあってそれを満たす感じだから、expectationやdutyと一緒に使われるのね。調べてみると、meetよりfulfilのほうがややかためらしい。責務を全うするとか果たすとかってニュアンスのようです。

memo:会議録か。ノートをとるのと同じ感覚だから、takeを使う

memo:保管する、蓄える感じか。どこに保管されているか、ハードディスク「上」というのでonを使う。家の中にだと「in」など時々に応じて前置詞は変わるよう。

memo:所持していること、所有していることpossessが所持するなのでその名詞形か。持っているではなく、所持って感じ。my possessionだと所持品か。

 

weather(v)

1. to deal successfully with a difficult situation or problem

ex)As a small new company they did well to weather the recession.

2. to change in colour or from over a period of time because of the effects of sun, wind, or other weather conditions

ex Rock is wheatherd by the action of ice and change in temperature.

The paint om the outside walls has wheatherd badly(= has changed and been damaged by the weather).

memo:1は難しい取引や問題にうまく対処すること。ただ対処するだけでなく、「難しい」問題に「うまく」対処するってとこがポイントなのかな。乗り切るって感じか。なんと、weatherにはもともと天気の他に、悪天候、荒れ模様という意味があるらしくそれを乗り切るから1のような意味が出てくるみたい。2は風とか日の光とかでのせいで時間が経つにつれて状態が変化すること。いわゆる風化するってやつかなあ。色あせるとかもでてきました。

memo:この仕事したいいい!ていう強い衝動かな。とくに2の例文では天職ってイメージがある。使命とか転職とか、自分ってこの仕事するために生まれてきたんじゃないって思えるようなものなのかな。

 

broke(adj)

without money

ex)I can't afford to go on holiday this year- I'm flat broke.

Many small businesses went broke(= lost all their money) during the recession.

memo:一文無しか!!一文無しになるは go broke。これで有栖川帝統が一文無しになるときの英文が書けるな。ちなみに、例文2つ目を読んでやっとrecessionが不況であることを思い出した。weatherの例文でも出てきてこれ何だっけと思っていたけど。

 

wear(v)

1. to show a particular emotion on your face

ex)The politician wore a confident smile throughout the interview.

2. to arrange your hair in particular way

ex)When she's working she wears her hair in a ponytail.

You should wear your hair up(= so that it doed not hang dowm) more often- it suits you.

memo:1は特定の感情を表に出すことか。自身のある笑みを浮かべる、難しい顔をするなど。2は髪の毛アレンジ!おもしろいなあ、wear one's hair ○○で○○に状態をいれて髪をどんな状態にしてるかしめすんだな。髪をあげているのはup,逆に下ろしているのはhang downか。

2.the job of being an accountant
